Gender Bending, The Game


The video documents 34 participatory performances conducted at The Midway Gallery. Each 3 minute interaction involved a card game and behavioral prescriptions given to both myself and the audience-performer. While pretending to play a card game, both were randomly prompted to perform stereotypically gendered behaviors such as man-splaining or flirtatiousness.
