Cash Flow
2016
Wax, fiber optics, PVC, cotton, felt
36” x 60” x 10”
I made these scaled-up cotton swabs while contemplating the dangers of consumerism and excessive wealth desire under capitalism. It was shown in an exhibition that continued the spirit of Peter Selz’s 1967 exhibition ‘Funk.’ Funk Art is weird. It’s often serious or political while appearing absurd, gooey, and unabashedly free.
