Collaborative Art Project (CAP)

Over the course of a year, myself and a group of 10 artists met monthly to create together in rotating pairs. Each group worked together to bridge their mediums and interests in experimental art making. The images shown here are from my collaboration with Hunter Franks where we set up a station on a busy pedestrian thoroughfare in San Francisco. At the station we provided wet oil paintings, in black and white as a base, and then invited passersby to add colors and texture. As the paintings dried we captured the intersection of chance, community, participation, and play.
